Older ones are Very well built........although some newer model years have a reputation for sinking if I recall correctly. Think it's a problem with the bilge access in the transom and non efficient scuppers.Google classic sea craft and check out that forum.

What engine? Open transom?

08 Merc 150. Seems underpowered . Open transom mount.
Saw the classic SC forum, good info on older boats. Thanks.

A friend has one that I fished with a few times out in the gulf. 2' chop will knock out a few fillings, but it handle ok. If I remember, there is only a 16drg dead rise at the transom. The boat never gave him any problems.
