With Beckham and Landry almost certainly gone and no significant go-to target besides them, the receiving corps is a question mark going into 2014. Who do we think is going to play what position?

The only thing I can really figure with much certainty is that Travin Dural takes Odell Beckham's spot as the X receiver. I think Quantavius Leslie takes the Y spot, with his speed and height he could be able to create some mismatches against opponents' nickel DB. But I'm not sure who would play Z in place of Landry. Avery Peterson? John Diarse?

I know we've got some sick freshmen that are coming in/expected to come in and play, but I don't want to look at them much yet because we've got plenty of guys on the roster and they haven't signed with LSU just yet.

Noil will get serious PT if he signs. Dupre as well.

I would assume Dural and Leslie are your top two with Noil, Dupre, Peterson, and Diarse fighting for PT. By seasons end I would bet Noil would establish himself as #3.

This next year is as much of an unknown as any I can remember...

Literally all the passes went to Odell and Jarvis this season. Plus Boone and wright gone. What are we returning 200 yds receiving and a TD from our WR core

Plenty of potential, just don't really know anything about them outside of dural. We have Leslie diarse and Peterson, plus incoming studs... It will be interesting

My guess as if now dural and Leslie/Peterson outside w diarse in slot. Malachi and Quinn compete for outside spot opposite dural and speedy competes w diarse for slot

The correct answer is nobody knows what the receiving corp will look like next year until all the freshmen are on campus. Bottom line is Quinn, Noil and Dupre might be the most talented guys o ncampus at WR but Dural, Diarse and Peterson will have a lot to say about playing time.

Count me out of the Leslie sweepstakes, we bring in JUCO guys to play right away and if you cant, chances are you wont in your short career here.

Actually of the three big time LA guys, I see Quinn and/or Noil seeing the most early action in the slot with Dural and Leslie/Peterson out wide

Dural, Diarse and dont sleep on Spears who has great hands. I think Noil and Quinn will play also.

If Peterson's work ethic doesn't improve he's gonna be passed by quinn and Dupre

me too

I think dural, spears, dupre, noil, and quinn will all have a great impact.

I really think the ball will be spread out to different receivers other than the 2 main guys (whoever they end up being)

Yeah, that's true. I guess Peterson would have to take the Y spot then or maybe Kevin Spears. Diarse is good, but he's a little slow from what I remember seeing for the slot.

I think the new guys are definitely going to be in the rotation early, just don't want to try to project where they start before they even sign on the dotted line I wouldn't be surprised to see Speedy Noil starting at the Y by the season opener. I think Trey Quinn projects more as an X (he'd be a Y in most cases, but Noil fits better there) and Malachi Dupre as a Z

and then someone else mentioned uncertainty... honestly, there's more than last year for sure, but last year didn't exactly look stellar. Beckham and Landry looked like they could be the stars they became, but neither were locks to do it and we never did figure out the 3rd WR. I'm not too worried about this unit next year. Hard to project who ends up where, but the talent is there and with Cameron at the helm I see no reason to be concerned

I'm really hoping Desean Smith can step up and take some of this pressure off. I was a little disappointed to not see at least something out of him this past season, but not sure how much of that is on him.

We have zero proven receivers going into next season, including Dural who had less than 10 catches all year if I recall. We'll have to wait and see but the talent is there so I'm sure someone will step up.

This might be one of the things weighing in on Noil's decision. WR is going to be wide open next season (no pun intended). Really wish Avery gets it going because we could use him.

Very rare. I think the last time was the 2004 season with Bowe and Davis. Don't believe Bowe was a starter in 03 but I may be incorrect.

I expect Diarse to have an impact.

While you're right, I just hope Tiger fans aren't expecting what Landry & OBJ accomplished this season to happen next season. It's a legitimate competition for the starting spots next fall.

Look out for:

Dural, Diarse, Leslie
Quinn, Noil

to have an impact in 2014, IMO

Diarse

I'll admit I don't know where he'll fit in or how he stacks up to Dural, Leslie, & co.
