They started chasing at our place near spillman Saturday evening. Hoping to catch the tail end of the action this evening. Any w Feliciana updates?

I've seen chasing in Spillman and know of a few bucks killed past 2 weeks that were chasing. A little further north they are seeing some scraping but no chasing.

Further west towards the river bucks are on the move. Lots of new ones showing up on camera but haven't heard much other than that

Thanks for the updates. A guy cleaned a 16" 8 pt at our skinning shed yesterday (has a friend in our club). Said he killed it chasing a doe about 6 miles from our place, back towards Jackson. At our lease, all 6 of us hunting saw small rack bucks, just cruising around. None were chasing. Not sure what to think now.

My office is in St.Fran and we have a small field behind it. Walk the edge of the field at beginning and end each week. First scrape showed up this morning

Update

My dad shot a 10 yesterday tht was trotting to catch up with some does just north of Spillman. Also noticed scraped hadn't been touched since last rain

Got a call this morning that a buck was killed near the state line near Laurel Hill that was chasing a doe. Seems to be getting started

Thanks for the update Feliciana. Yesterday morning a guy on our lease saw a good deer chasing a doe in a bottom, but couldnt get a shot. This front coming in the next day or so should be key.

Was at the ms line on Jackson road all weekend.

Bucks starting to move

Young bucks starting to chase. But it's the does who make the call, and they aren't ready.

Could be any day this week
