Basketball Season. We had as good of a yr last yr as you can have in baseball and we threw it all away when it really mattered so I'm not as excited until baseball gets deep into the season.

I can't get excited about a meaningless bowl game in 6 days. Baseball should be special this year especially with Nola and Bregman back. Baseball, bring it on.

Outback Bowl since its next week. Baseball doesn't get exciting until the SEC schedule starts in March.

I'm excited about baseball more than the outback bowl but looking forward to upcoming recruit signing over both.

1) Baseball (no television interruptions!)
2) Men's Basketball
3) Football National Signing Day
4) Outback Bowl

In all fairness to LSU...I'm not excited about any other bowl game either. Judging from the low ticket sales of many bowl games, it doesn't appear to be isolated to us.

At this very moment I'm more excited about the outback bowl. People dismissing that game's importance are amazingly stupid.

After the game I'll be really fricking excited about the rest of basketball season, then I'll be really fricking excited for baseball in early February.

It's a bowl game so I'll watch and be excited about it but I've always been a baseball fanatic. It's not like I push football out of my mind because baseball season is coming up.

Outback bowl and it's not even close! And I'm not very excited about it- so obviously baseball is pretty far down the list of things that excite me anytime of year but especially NOW.

Basketball season

Baseball season.

No offense to the team, I'm just not remotely a baseball fan.

Relax, not everyone thinks the same. Some don't care much about basketball, baseball or Outback bowls equally.

I agree with you about the importance of the game when it concerns recruiting and for younger guys moving forward. I'm really just excited for Jan 2 and I'm a big baseball fan so when you ask me if I'm "excited" about an Outback bowl or an entire Baseball season, I'll pick the season unless the Outback bowl is hosting the NC.

ETA I am excited to see Jennings play an entire game. shite, guess I'm excited about the Outback bowl

The outcome of the outback bowl is hardly meaningless. It goes on the permanent record is mentioned in context with the success if the season, the success of the overall program, Miles' success, the successes of the conference as a whole, all get judged in some measure by how well we compete as a team in this bowl game whether you like it , are excited about it or not. One could argue that the impact of a single bowl game is bigger to a university's athletic program than an entire baseball season in terms of dollars, perception, recruiting, bowl selections in the future, etc. , etc.

Beisbol!

That's not to say I'm not excited for the bowl game, though.

But never said it was meaningless.
