If John Kasay would have properly executed a kickoff, Jake Delhomme would magically have become clutch.

Clutch does not exist in pro sports

I think it does to an extent. Some players definitely are stat freaks, and some seem to play better in high pressure situations, like Flacco.

Also, you can't tell me Tiger Woods isn't clutch

When did kickers come into the argument?
Because people judge a qb's "clutchness" on things that are out of their control. One is clutch and one isnt based on something they didnt even do

To me that just means they're lazy most of the time.
It's possible to play worse in pressure situations, but playing better in pressure situations means you're lazy most of the time and not very focused.

I don't. I consider "clutch" as being able to make big plays when everything is on the line.

Ok, so in your opinion Romo is clutch. He has made some huge plays with games on the line. Thanks for agreeing with me

It is all relative and when you start to have these discussions people latch on to one certain play or one game from a player and use that small sample size to make their point.

Take your example of Flacco... if the DEN safety/CB doesn't blow the coverage on that 70yd TD, the entire story of Flacco/Manning from last year is flipped.

It is reasons like this that I don't like to characterize Tony Romo or Flacco or whomever as clutch or not clutch.
