I am looking to buy a new turkey gun. Which one these models do you recommend? I have read that the 835 holds a better pattern. Would you recommend a 20", 22" or 24 " barrel? Anyone have any experience with either? If so what is your review?

I used to have an 835 and it shot well. The only real negative was that the action is really noisy, but the 535 is too. I'd go with the 835 just for the ability to shoot 3 1/2 loads.

For barrel length, it depends on what kind of hunting you usually do. For woods only go with a 20 or 22 and If you hunt fields 24. I hunt 90% woods and have rarely killed a turkey past 25 yards.

I'd really at least consider a Remington 870 super mag if I were you. With the factory choke mine patterns better than my mossberg did with a custom choke. It also isn't noisy walking through the woods like mossbergs are.
