IDK why you would be. People don't want to be in Tampa on New Years Day.

Thats just awful. LSU brought 8/9 thousand this year to Athens. LSU can do better than this

They're going to lose a lot of money on this bowl.

Doesn't it always pour down rain for this Bowl?

Baylor & UCF sent back eighteen thousand tickets earlier today. Even BCS bowls are taking a hit.

But you can through LSU now. Put in for 4 yesterday and they are available on the 30 yard line. Thats why a lot of people dont go- you get hosed on the tickets

I don't see why it's surprising to everyone. It's the same reason why it's happening regular season as well. It's way too easy and more cost effective to stay at home and watch party. It doesn't make you any less of a fan, IMO.

Guessing all the TAF fat cats are not coming through and JA actually needs us peons now. Next season's actual attendance with that crappy schedule will break records.

It's the ECONOMY stupid! When you add up the cost of tkts, travel, hotel, food, alcohol etc...it's a pretty big sum that only a few can afford individually. A lot of those tickets get sold to corporations/business who can write them off for tax purposes. Increased cost for everything from food to education plus Christmas spending....there ain't that many folks who would spend that kind of money to go to a bowl game when you can watch it comfortably on HDTV!

Well, in my early 20s and single I went to every game I could, drank way too much, hit the bars after, woke up in strange places, Had a blast! But now, it's more enjoyable to me to watch it with friends around the house, cook, drink, and head home with no traffic. JMO.

it's an economic issue for most people... if not for the corporate buyers, Tiger Stadium would be half full... a lot of us middle income old-timers are being priced out of buying tickets by LSU and the TAF... young folks today have other things to do and watch the games on all their big screen hd tv's and other gadgets
