is it worth watching?

I'm personally expecting some interesting movie nothing real amazing but an entertaining sci-fi action flick.

It looked pretty but all problems are solved by spreading the wealth!

I watched it over the weekend. I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as District 9, but it had its moments. It had a little political edge to it, but I didn't find it overwhelming. I thought it was more of a case of taking the worst things about today and stretching them way out -- kind of like Idiocracy.

it was good entertainment if you allow yourself to take it for that

The Poli/Lib angle was minor. I mean it's not like it couldn't happen if things were allowed to go to an extreme.

Huge disappointment. Sharlto Copley was cool though.

Great visuals and futuristic weapons; but a shallow, worn-out story line. Acting seemed forced in some places. There are better options out there right now for your viewing pleasure.

Good. Great villain, flawed logic in regards to their idea of the future.

I thought it was a good, entertaining movie. The social implications were out there and not hidden. I enjoyed the movie. I personally thought district 9 was better.

Good movie but I believe that could have found a better person for the role instead of Jodie foster.

Marxist propaganda. Purely as a movie, it has value, but I just can't get past the liberal arrogance in thinking I'm just some sheep who needs to be "informed."

It's freaking excellent for $1.50 from redbox. If I would have paid $30 at a theatre, not so much. Very worth it for a cheap rental though

It's a metaphor for Apartheid. I mean, if we want to claim only liberals oppose Apartheid, okay, but otherwise... yeesh. Not everything is about American politics... sometimes its about other countries.

It's decent, but it kind of misses the mark. It is like a modern update of Metropolis with lots and lots of action. If you liked District 9, you'll like this, but it's not an improvement.

It was hard to enjoy because I was honestly rooting for Mat Damon to fail the entire time because he had no right to someone else's property, but the movie pretends like he had every right.

Right up until Matt Damon escapes from the heist , I thought it was going to be the best action movie I've seen in a long time. It just sort of falls off from there..but its still an entertaining movie.

Spoilers...

Wasn't he trying to get up there to cure himself? So you are saying that he shouldn't do whatever it takes to live? The technology wasn't available here, so that was his only way to live. I don't get why you would want him to die from the jump..
