Do you think Chris Paul tried to hurt Ricky Rubio?

I think he tried to lunge into him to maybe draw a foul, but I don't think he meant to necessarily step on his foot.

Dude has some spectacular peripheral vision if he did.

I think he thought Rubio was closer and tried to do that shite he does all the time where he throws his body into a defender and flails his arms up to try to get a foul.

Yeah I think this is probably right. I don't think he tried to step on his foot though.

The way that it happened? No. You never want to be on the top end of stepping on a foot. That ankle could have easily been his that got rocked.

CP3 is hard to watch nowadays though. His flopping is easily the most ludicrous in the league.

That looks pretty intentional to me... CP3 is entering DWade territory with his dirty tactics.

He's not looking near the direction of Rubio's back foot.

He was lunging for a foul call.

He seems like a completely different person since leaving Nola. Screw him. Like y'all said, it probably wasn't intentional because he was probably looking for contact for a foul. But that's no excuse, that's dirty play.

Hurt?

Maybe not, but it is hard to look at that gif and avoid the conclusion he took an abnormally long step to step on rubio's foot. A kind interpretation is he wanted to trip rather than injure

He's the same dude that punched a guy in the junk in college, he's no different now in LAC than he was when he was on the Hornets team.

Not really.

It looked more like him lunging to get a foul call then anything else.

Didn't know about that

Hey hh, how did the refs call that play? Foul on CP3 or Rubio or neither?

he's always been like that, even back at Wake Forest. It's just gotten worse/more noticeable since he's gotten to LA

agree to disagree

he's not going to draw a foul like that but he is going to step on rubio's foot that way

Yeah he used to step in front of defenders going down the court and fall to draw the foul. But he never seemed to do it this often or blatantly.

Exactly what it looks like to me. Such a flopping little bitch.

ETA: For possible ambiguity.
