I guess San Francison 2011 was his fault too huh?

He can't make the plays. And yesterday AND the New England game there were plays to be made....the players just didn't make them (not to mention Galette getting arm barred vs. the Pats on the final play)

Regardless, both games were highly questionable in regards to Payton's playcalling.

I don't consider yesterday's issues a rob Ryan issue. That's a offensive play calling issue all the way .

Are you seriously trying to pin that loss on the defense??

Ryan dialed up a blitz that Malcolm just completely air mails. He makes that play and I think the Saints hold on.

The defense played very well in this game. The offense was borderline imcompetent. Payton's decision to go ultraconservative did us in. If Vaccaro had been in instead of Harper we would have won.

We forced like 4 three and outs in a row.

The defense was lights out for the majority of the game.

The only way to blame the defense is by not expecting the offense to complement.

we just have bad luck... what's the NFL win percentage when you have the other team with no timeouts, needing a touchdown with 90ish seconds left on their half of the field?

how many teams lose in that situation twice in a season? (plus the playoff game a few years ago?)

When the Saints D holds a team to 17 points, you expect our high powered offense to win every game.

Problem is this offense isn't what we thought it would be.

Yesterday rests squarely on the shoulders of the offense. The D did their job.

Yeah holding a team to under 200 yards and going 0-9 on third downs. What the hell is our defense doing?!

You hold a team to 17 points these days that should be a win.

Why didn't he blitz Harper? That's what he does best.

Harper has been a liability in coverage since DAY ONE

Maybe it's the players. It's been happening somewhat consistently for the past few seasons.

Just a thought

Perhaps on that play but they had time for at least 3-4 more plays after that. Just sayin'

They had no timeouts and the clock would have been running at 23 seconds. Maybe a clock and and/or one more play.

Anyone blaming that loss on the defense must have only watched the final minute. And he made a great call on the TD, he can't help it if the safety he sent in untouched has an aversion to contact

Also, you have to tip your hat to Cam Newton. Couldn't throw it in the ocean all game and then he makes his two best throws when they absolutely had to have it. Sometimes that stuff happens.
