Would cutting ties w/ Smith&Vilma allowed us to keep Bushrod?

Just curious if org's loyalty to these guys really had an impact on whether we would have been able to keep our LT.

Perhaps but I also think Loomis really wanted to get Brown going in hopes that he had a diamond in the rough. We seem to be pretty risky when it comes to offensive line. The thing that kills us is speed rushers and being a pass first offense doesn't go hand in hand obviously. It's like the coaches completely forgot 2009 and 2011 when we made it furthest and had two of the best offenses ever because we were top 10 in rushing.

If I recall, cutting either would have had almost no impact om our cap figure because of guaranteed money owed
