Someone give me a rundown?

I missed 85% of the game because of a family emergency.. I saw some of the first Qu and the very, very end.
How did Armstead look? I assume not very good based on some threads I see, but I'd like a rundown regardless. Better or worse than Brown?
Did our D play well outside that final drive? 17 points isn't so bad, especially 10 in the first 59 minutes.
What was wrong with the offense? Could we just not get yards (a lot of punting?) or was it turnovers? How did the WRs look?
I don't really want to look at the box score or stats because they are misleading. Feel free to address anything I forgot that seemed important.
Also.. I was wrong. We lost. frick.

I missed entire game due to work. Had a patient tell me we were up with under a minute to go and thought we were good.

We lost the game because we couldn't get a first down with a minute left.
Rob Ryan ran the right defense in the end, we just lost. Plain and simple. Couldn't pass block for shite, either. Drew Brees and Sean Payton let us down.

Basically both offenses looked terrible. Both defenses played well. It absolutely came down in monsoon fashion for most of the 3rd quarter.
NO had a 97 yard drive where there was a jimmy graham TD. Then Cam Newton actually showed up and didn't look like a shitty qb on the final drive and had 1-2 BIG passes and then the TD pass.
Game over.

Offense sucked sucked sucked, until we went 97 yards in the 4th quarter to take the lead on a TD.
Defense was awesome awesome awesome until we gave up a 65 yard TD drive in about 30 seconds in the final minute.

We didn't try for a first down with a minute 45 left. Big difference.
