Hell Yeah!! Mettenburger-Rex!! Gotta love the guy especially since his performance this year should mark the very beginning of a long and beautiful career for CCC! With him and the Chief, it looks like Les has his two coordinators til the day any of them retire for good. I don't see any of them leaving for more money or promotions, etc.
As for those guys who are arguing about the whole 2011 offensive crap at the QB position... Mett would not have solved the problem. The problem was that CCC wasn't here yet. Mett would not have looked nearly as good that year as he did this one. Hell, Lee led the team flawlessly until the first Bama game and never saw a snap again even though JJ was one of the worst passers in any schools history. The staff of that season simply thought that JJ was good enough to win and they paid for their lack of vision. I think that they guy was great in practice but badly lacked the ability to decisively read a d and throw with confidence like we have seen Mett do this year. It has nothing to do with the QB because CCC would have called plays that would have allowed Lee to do well instead or he would have improved JJ's passing game. Either way, the offense would have been killer that year with CCC and we would have beaten the gumps both times.
Again, I loved having Mett start this year AND his success this season will mark the beginning of a competent offense in the Valley for years to come!

Disregard that down vote. I accidentally missed the up one. I really appreciate Zach's still being actively involved.

Living in Ga I enjoy the fact that Zach and now AJ are Ga boys! Zach is one tough SOB!

Zach: thanks for coming to LSU and becoming a true leader. Best wishes with your rehab and your future

If only we could have had Zach straight out of high school.

The way that Zack pulled AJ towards him on that handshake after the game winning drive against Arky spoke volumes about Zach's character. The guy has a bright future ahead of him.

Wish we could have had Zach as a starter earlier. Just feels like a missed opportunity. What could have been.
I see what ur saying, but after watching last year, don't think he would have helped much if he started in 2011. The thing about him is he matured from 12-13 as a person and a leader. He wasn't ready to lead this team to a title in 2011.

1300 yd rusher. Yet the line is god awful? Yeah, I mean its not like he played his Jr season with 3 freshman on the line.

This is so far from the truth.

Couldn't have hurt to use him in the SECCG or NCG. The QB play couldn't have been worse.

Will go down in LSU lore for the heart, character, and passion he showed this year

Yes, he would have. The problem was at QB, not coordinator. Neither JJ nor JL got a look from the NFL. They were both terrible. It baffles me how bad our QB recruiting has been under Miles - surrounded by a sea of excellence, too. Weird!
Also, your assertion that CCC will be here until he retires...that's weird, too. I have no idea how long he'll be here, but it seems likely that this is a temporary stop between pro gigs.

That even touched me. Zach's been a warrior, no doubt, but that gesture spoke volumes.
