"I'm still part of this team; I'm still a leader," Mettenberger said to a small group of media. "I'm still going out there trying to be positive with everybody and keep everybody grinding. One of my biggest roles in this game is help Anthony transition to a starting role.

Mett is a great tiger and will continue to represent Tiger Nation when he goes pro. Reminds me a lot of Matty Flynn gets the job done and stays outta the spotlight in bad ways

I'll remember Zach fondly long after he's gone--from the darts that OBJ and JL snagged, to these comments that show how much he has grown since he came here.

Terrific kid in my mind.

He will be a legend at LSU. Toughest QB I can recall.

"He showed when he came in to the Arkansas game he's a pocket passing guy. He works well within the pocket. If he needs to take off and run he will. He's not a typical dual threat guy. He's always looking to pass first. He does have great accuracy and great anticipation. He's a bright kid."

Wish we could have had Zach as a starter earlier. Just feels like a missed opportunity. What could have been.
