2014 Linebacking Corps

What do y'all think about out Linebackers heading into next season?
Who starts at Will, Mike, and Sam?
Will- Debo Jones
Mike- DJ Welter
Sam- Kwon Alexander
Seems to somewhat be the consensus with those three.
Then we have Lamar Louis, Lorenzo Phillips, Duke Riley, Ronnie Feist (redshirted this season, can play DE), Kendall Beckwith (DE or LB?), and bring in Clifton Garrett, Donnie Alexander (can play safety), and potentially someone like Kenny Young (can play inside or outside)
Where do y'all see these guys playing?
Phillips and Riley seem like the backup weak side backers behind Debo. Donnie Alexander can play there too
Louis returns with some experience in the middle spilling Welter at times. I like Garrett to come in and compete at Mike. Louis could also play strong side in my opinion. Beckwith and Feist also have played some in the middle
Kwon has been one of our better backers for two seasons now. Theres not much returning depth at the Sam spot. But I could see players like Louis, Beckwith, Feist, Phillips, Young being able to play the position
How do y'all see the position shaping up? Who steps up big and earns plenty of PT?
What position do Lamar Louis, Kenny Beckwith, Kenny Young, Ronnie Feist play?
W- Debo / Phillips / Riley / Alexander
M- Welter / Garrett / Louis / Beckwith, Feist
S- Kwon / Louis / Young / Beckwith, Feist

Hoping Clifton can come in and start. He shows up around 230 he will already be bigger than anyone else we got.

Garrett has a real nose for the ball...he will win the Middle LB job! Guaranteed!

I sure hope CG can come in and win the job.
Weight helps but thats not everything
Barrow was over 230 and wasn't out MLB. And Welter is over 225, which is actually much bigger than most our backers at 205-215

Chances are he won't start from day one...but you watch the film...he sheds blockers extremely well...he's plays like a true MLB in my eyes...and LSU doesn't have one right now!

How would CG not come in and start?? The guy is a consensus 5 star player, what gives?
Posted on 12/20/13 at 4:05 pm to Paul Allen
If he was an EE I would say that CG starts day 1. But he's not which means he'll have about a month to learn the system and the team. He'll need more time IMO. Game 5. Around the same time our freshman this year started I assume.

LSU should switch to a 3-4.
frick no. That would be disastrous... We don't have the right players to run a 3-4

Make no mistake about it, LSU is bringing in CG to play early and often!
I also like the debo, CG, Kwon lineup
Kenny young will come in ready to play too. Help is on the way boys

Not to mention, has Chief EVER coached a 3-4? People act like going from 4-3 to 3-4 is simply adding a LB and taking out a DL.

I want kwon, CG, Beckwith.
Beckwith will most likely stay at DE though. I also wished melvin Jones would have been given a shot at lb.
