What's your trigger pull weight for hunting rifle?

My Browning is as low as it can go from factory at 3lbs. I'm going to check for myself because it sure feels heavier than 3. I would like a little lower but not too low. My cousin has his Browning at 2.5.

I honestly don't care a whole lot once it's sighted in. I'll be the first to admit that I slap the trigger when I'm shooting a deer inside of 150 yards. The few times I've shot one further than that, I took my time and never noticed the trigger as much as holding crosshairs.
I used to hunt with a 2 stage mauser trigger if that tells you anything

2.0, another advantage of the Tikka, can adjust with an Allen wrench

I personally think a 2 stage trigger is about as good as it gets for an average guy's hunting rifle, but that's just my opinion.

Not a fan of the 2 stage trigger.

I grew up with one, so I was used to it before I even knew what a single stage was. I just find them more predictable, at least the one I had was.

I hear ya. It's all in what you're used to I suppose.

ditto that with buck fever. i've had all proper shooting discipline go out the window a time or two

I learned last year that I push the gun left because I put too much of my finger on the trigger. Corrected that and my shots are 100%. Now, I get it set up when I am going down to the scope

Uno, dos, trace

I have better trigger control with a pistol, I think I'm a horrible rifle shot. You would think that it would transfer fairly well.

Easiest way to shoot a rifle is to put more of your finger thru the trigger and try to squeeze your thumb and pointer together. I dont do it anymore, but that's how I started

I heard net gets a little anxious on 4 wheeler triggers when hunting the elusive tundra glass buck.

I am more focused and smooth when shooting a rifle

3.5
3.8
3.4
4.0
I prefer the 3.8 and 4.0
I think under 3.0 is for bench rests and snipers.
