Looking at getting some ostriches, but not sure if there is some other exotic boots that would be better at that price range.

Luccheses... Should definitely be able to find some 1883s in that price range. Possibly find some ostrich. My pair of distressed of 1883s were like $350.

Just picked up some Anderson Bean custom elephant at Boots and More for $399 reg a $599 boot. They're amazing and elephant is the most durable of the exotics.

That is last thing I would ever spend $450 on. For a pair of boots? Is this a fashion thing now? My Justin's have been to hell and back in over 10 years and I wouldn't trade them for all the boots mentioned because the fashion boots will not see a bit of the woods or water.

hell, my dad's LL Bean boots still have the same leather for 30+ years

I have a pair that I have had for 14 years or so and won't ever get rid of them.

Elephant is different that the gator, croc, caiman, ostrich etc in the fact that they can be worn in any condition and just be cleaned off with a water hose. So yes mine will see the woods and what not without a problem

It's about a nice pair of dress shoes. I could have spent it on Allen's but I prefer to wear boots. My Lucchese alligator bellys were over 1k. Don't regret it at all.
