He has improved his game a lot and if the Thunder go all the way the improvement of their 2nd unit especially Jackson will play a big part in that.

I know the talent level is high at point guard across the league now or talent potential.

So I'd say somewhere around #20

Mr. October.

Once October is over it's all downhill from there.

Pretty much impossible to say with him coming off the bench. His role is completely different from most traditional point guards because he takes on much more of a scoring role and much less of a facilitator role. Also there's only like a 3 week sample size of him playing with a bigger role in OKC.

There are a lot of fricking good point guards. Maybe if he was given more of a chance he could be one of the better ones, but now I'd have to rank him like... 25th at best right now.

Yes, especially Rondo because his situation is a bit different then D Roses.

Off the top of my head:

Eric Bledsoe is better for sure, but you didn't list him

Nelson: Yes, but is limited by age
Dragic: Slightly
Thomas
Carter-Williams
Calderon: yes
G. Hill
Felton: yes
Chalmers: yes

I'd say there are a lot of other players I'd take over him as a bad up PG as well.

I also think his situation could be like Bledsoe's though, that once he is able to go somewhere and be THE guy his stock could sky rocket. I just think to say he is better than 12 other starting PG's in the NBA right now is a bit ridiculous.

agreed.

Since we are prematurely ranking a point guard with almost no selection size, I think I'd definitely prefer Trey Burke to Jackson right now as well.

Right now Jackson is doing decent for a stretch... and he has potential...

He has no business being ranked in comparison to the NBA's amazing current starting point guards who have proven themselves over a long period of time

Yes, but with Dragic I say Bledsoe is their two-guard.

Maybe, and you are right in all sports (qb in nfl, best example )dependent on where you are can boost or lower your stock significantly.

Exactly. I was impressed when he took over for Westbrook in playoffs, but Conley did go off on him. Conley just seemed to on a different level then him and he is usually considered anywhere between 10 & 15 in most PG rankings.

The potential is obvious though.

Conley averaged 18 pts, 7 assists that series, but the biggest thing was there plus/minus difference. Conley was an overall +20 and Jackson was at -33.

Definitely.. He just seems to have improved over the offseason and Scott Brooks seems to have more confidence in him, but put him on a team like Atlanta with marginal talent, and you'd see what kind of player he is, its hard to say, but he has definitely improved, and by no means am I an OKC fan, I'm rooting for them to lose since I have an 8-1 bet on Portland to win the division.
