I bought some yesterday. I think it's a good long term hold.

I've been watching it - when I have money, it always seems to be high. When it's low - I never seem to be able to free up any money to buy it.

$15 isn't bad, but nothing I would sell other stuff to buy.

Timing is everything.

I owned 100 shares at $2 per share back in 2008. Wish I had them now!

Isn't the point to buy at the bottom? I'm just asking for a bottom point 13? 14?

God, F was such a buy in 2008. I didnt have any money to put in it. Did a ton of research on it and told my dad to load up, he never did.

They had enough money to get through the recession, didnt need the bailout, were improving their warranty expenditures.

I begged him to just put a $1k in at .99

I didn't realize it got that low. I remember it around $2 or so a share. I bought some at around 12 awhile back and sold at I think around 16 and jumped into XOM to stay for awhile. A friend of mine bought it low at 2 back around 08-09 and sold at 12.

I was mistaken, bottomed out at 1.43. Premise stays, I told him to buy. It'd be worth someone around $10k today. Could have given that as a grad present.

Just goes to show how good of a time recessions are to buy.

I bought a bunch of shares at a little less than $3 a share about 8 years ago. Best stock purchase I ever made. I have kept buying as it's gone up, although I know you're supposed to do the opposite. I only own about 10 stocks, all real bread and butter types - Iberia Bank, Exxon, Ford, P&G. I just use mutual funds in the 401K for businesses I don't understand (Google).

Yeah, only problem is most people don't really have very much cash to be pouring in.
