Everyone just chill out. Monty is a solid coach, sure he could very well just not be a good fit with this group of players but let's remember this is really the first month and a half of this new experiment.

Not even the Heat won a title in their first year together.

1 playoff appearence, and Chris Paul was the real coach of that team.

I think post all star break, they'll finally have their shite completely together and run train on everyone. I think it's going to take a couple more months to perfect the chemistry and for everyone to build some momentum to get a strong rhythm going. Until then, let's hope they keep their heads above water.

What on earth gives people confidence in Monty's ability to be a good coach? Seriously what has he actually done?

I've been a Monty proponent from day 1. I thought he was a great hire at the time.

My stance has changed. His lack of any kind of offensive awareness is staggering. I think in the right situation he could possibly be successful, but a team of young guys is not it. He's not patient with young talent. This team should be up tempo. There's a clashing of styles

Wow there are still some of you that thought this team was going to make a playoff run this year?

This team is built to run. Make it happen, Monty.

Our record and the West Coast trip doesn't have me all that concerned at this point in the season, honestly, given all of the circumstances.

I do think there are legitimate questions regarding Monty's schemes and use of the talent on the roster. But we'll know more by the All Star Break. I don't care if it's the Pelicans, Saints, LSU, Tulane, whoever, a lot of fans are overly reactive to the short term. I can be one of those, too, btw.

But if we haven't improved and figured a few things out by February, I'd say Monty would be on shaky ground.

This team could make the playoffs, but stand almost no chance at avoiding a first round sweep. SA, OKC, POR are just a lot better than us right now. We need that top-5 next year or else we won't win for at least 5+ more years.
