Cousins or Fitzpatrick - I've got Delanie Walker and I'm facing Garcon

Standard scoring, 6 points per passing TD.

Fitzpatrick had a nice outing last time he played Jacksonville (31.5 points) and Walker had a TD (12.2 points).

Cousins faces the Cowboys D which is atrocious, and I can effectively negate any points he gets for Garcon.

I could really use some feedback. Thanks!

That should not factor into your reasoning at all.

It is certainly not the only factor I'm considering, but I certainly think it is worth noting. All of Garcon's yards and TDs will come at the hands of my QB, but not all of my QB's yards and TDs will go to Garcon. Same is true for Walker and Fitzpatrick. I think it is prudent fantasy strategy to consider who I'm starting and who my opponent is starting when considering a QB. It is basically a discussion of whether or not I've got too many (few) eggs in one basket.

You aren't negating points by starting cousins though. Garçon is going to get his points no matter who you start.

If garçon ends up with 15 points, would you rather have started cousins that got you 25 or Fitz who got you 30?

you should start whoever is going to score the most regardless of who you are playing against. I am starting Cousins because McCown
and Flynn decimated Dallas and I am hoping they suck again for Cousins. I need him to win me the ship.

Fair enough. So you're saying start Fitz?

Well, if Cousins has 0 TDs, how many will Garcon likely have? Surely you understand my point that if Garcon goes off for 150 and 2 TDs, Cousins will have 150+ and 2+TDs, right?

But you should still only be concerned about which QB puts up the better stats.

I'm not saying start Fitz, Fwiw. I think both qb's are good starts. I was just making an example. I am leaning cousins myself.

You can't look at it like this, you look at which QB scores more points. Fitz COULD have 150 & 2 TD as well.

The one thing I learn through play fantasy football through the years is that the other team's players should not matter to you regardless. You play the players on your team that will get you the highest point total. Just because he has the WR doesn't mean you should play the same team's QB. Also, doubling up doesn't always work either because you could lay two eggs instead of one.

I only recommend doubling up if you have a stud WR and a QB1-2.

To be fair both QBs should put up 300 yard games and at least 2 TDs. Dallas is the worst defense in fantasy football terms. Fitzpatrick is playing a team that's given up 30 point games 6 out of the past 7 weeks.

The forecast for Washington is extremely cold and 24 mph wind that screams running on both sides

Fitzpatrick is playing in 80 degree weather, but temps should not factor in who you play. Wind if your biggest concern.

I know I have Romo and I might sit him for Fitzpatrick

I'd still play Romo, Washington has gotten torch all year.

Don't take chances this late unless you really have to.

Still think he'll be able to throw the ball in that wind? I can see them just very ramming Murray all day.

I'd wait till Sunday to check the wind then. Decisions are usually made Sunday by 10-11am
