Which do you prefer?
I prefer college because the teams generally show off regional talent while tNFL is just a collection of guys from wherever on a roster.
Love tSaint's and all, but I'd love them more with more local talent.
Used to kick some Tecmo arse with Hilliard and Eric Martin along with that great D. Even plugged in Fourcade to make it more homey.

College.
I love the Saints and all, but I get much more amped up on Saturdays.

College by far
each game means so much more. in the nfl you can loose four five even six games but in college each game matters in the national championship race. each time the tigers loose it feels like a chunk is taken out of me but i like to see the saints win, but could care less if they loose.

College football without a doubt. I have always felt that college teams play harder and with more passion. Though LSU's teams the last couple of years have me rethinking that.

College by far. I have only a faint interest in the NFL these days and I used to be a huge fan.

tNFL has become way too generic/predictable.
A 3 hour exercise where the teams playing hardly matter can't be what tNFL wanted...right?
Seems as if parity was what they were after, well they've got it now..

I'm in the minority that loves both equally. Saturdays I live and die with the purple and gold. Sundays I live and die with the black and gold.

College by a mile.
I'll watch the pros but if I miss the games, whatever, I'm ok with it. College football, on the other hand, if I miss any good games, I'm ticked off the rest of the day. Especially if I inadvertently discover the outcome of a game I wanted to watch.

This is me in a nutshell. A friend got me hooked to LSU almost 9 years ago. Back then I was all Steelers, Saints, (loved Dante Culpepper, Randy Moss, and Antoine Winfield from the Vikes), and Miami Heat.
Got hooked on everything about the LSU team and the last 2-3 years, I've only watched a few NFL games (play mostly Fantasy Football), and all in all year for LSU.

College football and it isn't even close. NFL, like MLB, lacks the "every game means something" feel. Their is no real "team" means something either, most of the guys on pro teams are playing for the check and not the team/university/fans. Too many premadonna's in the NFL and the game is almost too perfect. Give me Saturday game days over Sunday or Monday night.

what did you expect to hear on a message board for a college football team kinda pointless

Why do you put a t in front of NFL and Saints?

College Football. To me the NFL is boring and lacking the emotion and pageantry of the college game.
Also as mentioned, every game means so much more during the CFB season.

Both were better before $$$ completely took over.
I used to live for football weekends but now only watch the Tigers & Saints.
I remember when LSU games were played at night and when recruits didn't play games pulling hats out of bags on national television.
Maybe I'm getting old but it seems like football is about everything other than the game these days. Four hours is too long for a 60 minute game.
I have a bunch of old games on VHS which I taped from television. You could see & hear the passion from the fans. The excitement level was unreal and the announcers actually had a clue. Those things have been diminished in recent years.
The advent of 24/7 sports networks and immediate access to information have had their advantages but I believe they're also responsible for the reduced interest in the sport.
I remember watching our baseball team play in Skip Bertman's first year. There weren't many of us there but it was still nice to support LSU. It's hard to believe 30 years later I would prefer baseball over football because it's still a more pure sport. Hopefully $$$ won't ruin it.
