I guess he could do interviews and chitchat with scouts but he couldn't do anything physical.

Can't imagine his rehab will really suffer from a few days in Mobile

Rehab for ACL is usually 8 months to a year.

Mett to the Saints 5-7 round. I would be pleased with this. Learn under Drew. Aka Rogers !!

Going to the Senior Bowl has nothing to do with the Senior Bowl game itself, it's all about the week of practice and drills leading up to it where scouts and head coaches from every team are evaluating you.

But again, Mett is not in the category of prospects that would need to go out and show the scouts something like that. The high end QBs dont touch that or any other kind of all star game and dont even do anything at the combine because i can only hurt their stock in most cases and theres a big risk for injury to go out and play live football like that

Just a comment for everyone. There is exactly zero " film" on Mett. None. Nada. Zilch. Get it right people. This is 2013.

There are probably many terabytes of various recorded digital media.

I really hope it doesn't hurt his draft stock.

That ship has sailed. We can only hope it won't hurt too much. It shouldn't, if the repair and rehab go as expected. He wasn't terribly mobile pre-injury. There is plenty of game film on him. He's very tall, big and strong. As long as he can take 3 and 5 step drops and throw the ball before the draft (which is a little later than usual next year, fortunately), in private workouts, if nothing else, he should be fine.

ETA: From early 2nd to mid-3rd round isn't bad money for a QB.

The big downside, is that he doesn't have the opportunity to increase his stock in the offseason and this is a QB-heavy draft. Aaron Murray has the same thing to deal with - he's probably going in the 4th round, or thereabouts.

And Coach Cam's phone number.

One of the most important facts for Mett.

Fact is, you can bet coaches the NFL respects as talent evaluators carry weight when spoken to.

While you might assume that Cam would just automatically give Mett a glowing review just because he coached him, I seriously doubt this happens in such private conversations. If a coach like Cam, or Saban, or any other NFL respected guy started blowing smoke for all his players, pretty soon, they wouldn't be respected anymore.

So, if Cam tells people that Mett is the real deal, they aren't going to dismiss it and, they'll take the time to see how he is as he recovers.

If he is not able to play that is OK, but he should come to Mobile and hang out regardless, and yes it is a mistake. Phil would be glad to extend him that invitation if he is PUP. and it is not some scouts it is basically almost all scouts from all teams.
