Walk Ons - Now charging for ice?

I was a little disappointed in my favorite watering hole. Am I wrong for being upset about a $1 up-charge for a $13.50 drink?

that is an absurd fricking price for very little.

I thought the same. An appetizer (cheese fries), two entrees (shrimp wrap and a buffalo chicken sandwich), two beers and a (double) mixed drink at $64.00. Ouch.

I could see a rocks charge on a single, to give you a touch more liquor, but on a double that's insane.

That's sad since you spent $13.50. I know a few places in BR will add $1 for drinks on the rocks only because they add more liquor to top it off since there is no mixer.

The rocks up charge means a higher liquor count than if the drink were ordered with a mixer, not that you are literally paying for ice.
