Josh Gordon could have been a first round draft pick. Instead, he got in trouble for smoking weed in school and was asked to leave Baylor and ended up be supplemental draft.

The NFL leader in total receiving yards and receiving yards per game (despite only playing 11 games) has a base salary of less than one million this year.

Murray and Metts, getting injured late in the year, when they could have gone last year.

Incorrect. Wasn't that good after the knee injury to begin with - point to his sack total in '11 but 80% of those were cleaning up what Mingo and Mathieu forced into him.

Locker lost around $30 million by staying his senior year. So bad decision money wise, but a good decision football wise.

People always name players in these threads who wouldnt have been drafted high regardless of when they came out. Just because they came out early and got drafted low doesnt mean it magically would have been different if they stayed.

Matt Barkley would have been a top-10 pick if he went a year earlier than he did, no? Obviously he would have been a bust, but he left a lot of money on the table.

Leinart was projected to be a top 3 pick when the season ended. The Saints signing Brees and Bud Adams wanting to stick it to Houston is why he "fell" all the way to #10.

I also love how people think all the pro scouts look at is a players last season and results. Like they wouldn't do interviews/workouts etc. There is no guarantee Barkley goes any higher if he comes out a year early. We've seen plenty of guys thought to be high picks slide on draft day after teams have fully vetted the players.

There is really no way to tell for sure, but I seriously doubt it. NFL teams don't just look at last season and draft. They are a tad more thorough.
