In Alabama maybe. I don't ever expect any kind if ridiculous winter weather this close to the gulf

Not the OP but I assume because several models are currently showing this solution. Of course these same models were showing a cold outbreak with possible snow in the deep South for Christmas and Christmas eve a couple days ago and have recently backed off that happening.
So I am skeptical of this "Super Freeze" scenario until we get a lot closer and the models continue to show this cold weather solution.

The only super freeze I've ever seen in the south was February 1996. I doubt it gets that bad.
