What's the best carbon remover you've used? I'm going to try M-Pro 7. Anyone ever use this?

I use it, it works pretty good.

To clean barrels, I normally use the foam stuff with a nylon brush. Run it through a few times and then patches until they are clean. Then a patch with some clp and some more dry patches. Just my way of doing things.

I use it -- it's good stuff. But I don't think it's quite as good as Hoppes.

i find myself using the foam bore cleaners more and more. After its' been cleaned w/ the foam, I'll run a few patches through it w/ one of a number of different products: Shooter's Choice mixed w/ Kroil (3:1 ratio), CLP or Eezox. I Ballistol one because I'd heard how good it was; the bottle's still nearly full as I can't be past it's horrible smell... :bang head: There a gazillioin products out there and I think most are actually pretty good. I've never tried M-Pro 7. The original Hoppe's is still pretty good, as well.

Yes. He asked for a solvent that'll remove carbon and that's what I use when I want to really clean mine up.
