I know this is extremely germans and most everyone has read it. I just thought with all of the coaching turmoil in the college ranks we could reflect. Consider how lucky we have been as LSU fans to have Les Miles lead our program. Is he goofy sometimes sure, does he make coaching mistakes sure. But you know what that guy in Alabama makes mistakes too, as we saw a few weeks ago. One thing about Les is he is genuine. Nothing fake about this guy. He loves his players and they love him. I for one am thankful to him for being our coach.

Been saying for years that he is the most genuine big time college coach in the country.
Yes he does have some quirks just like his mentor Bo and Bo's mentor Woody Hayes. If anyone would stick their head out from under the hate, they would see that every coach makes these same mistakes even in the pro game.
We could do much worse and it would be very difficult to find someone better. Miles is getting better every year and loves his job for now. Some of us fans that constantly bash, will soon win out and he will tire of this uninformed pressure. If he goes to Texas and takes both coordinators and wilson maybe then some of u may find out what bitching constantly does to your program.

So he was genuinely interested in the Ar-kansas job then?

Good for LSU fans we are lucky to have both

He reminds me a lot of my high school coach, which is part of why I like him: Both very nice, but possessing intensity when needed. Make players genuinely enjoy practicing and playing for the coach. Both fairly goofy with lots of sayings that don't necessarily make sense - one might wonder if they know what they are doing at times, with some strange calls - but the results speak for themselves. They're both winners, including championships. I hope miles stays a long time.

Ultimate Players Coach - I would be honored for my sons to play for Les Miles. He is the type that will make you a better man, not just a better player. I played for a coach like that in my youth and I still think back on the things he said and did in shaping the person I have become.
