One of the major discussion points re: Saban's future was his age. He's 62 years old and likely only had about 5-6 years left in the tank, at the most, which was why people thought this might be the year he leaves Alabama for one last move.

But what about Les? He's right behind Saban at 60 years old. I think he'll retire at a later age than Saban will, but it's just odd to me that Saban's age was a big focal point during the Texas hoopla while at the same time, it seems like Les has a good 10 years left in the college ranks.

Great stuff. Our most successful coach in history is taking our program down the toilet.

10 years would take him to 70- there's no way. The stamina required to recruit and compete in the sec is too much at that age. I say 4-5 more seasons max. He retires, takes an admin role and enjoys his family.

I agree with this. If a few years he moves to an administrative role with the university. The AD has to be smart and look for the signs of diminished energy. Watch the recruiting carefully, because we don't want an empty cupboard for the next coach.

As long as season tickets continue to sell out and he has over 9 wins per season and we are in the hunt for the West and a SEC Title every year??

Les looks like he's enjoying himself.
Saban looks exhausted.

I think Saban only has 2-3 years left.

Ill give Miles 5-7

Ill take 9 if he still has the want and can still fight like heck though

Do you guys really think Miles expends that much energy? I don't. I don't mean it as a jab but more of a complement. He enjoys life on and off the job. He's certainly successful and able to keep it all in perspective and balanced. I think he doesn't burn out, or at least not as soon as someone like saban will . Saban won't quit/retire IMHO. I think he will die coaching. Yes he will kill himself coaching. Miles no. He will just keep on strolling on. He will quit alright but only when he stops enjoying it. Saban doesn't enjoy anything.

My guess is around 2020. The kids from 2014 will be here till 2017 at the latest and 2017 we have Dylan Moses so I think he sticks around for at least til 2018.

Two titles then retires.

I think Miles will retire at LSU . If his health remains good , I would believe he would coach maybe five more seasons. 2018 , fullfilling his contract.
