Now that Nicky is here to stay. Don't care if he has to spend all offseason figuring out how to beat Bama next year, just beat them.... Play loose and please don't lose 3 in a row. One silver lining to Nick staying is that when we win the SEC we will know we deserved it and there were no shortcuts or SabanToTexas mulligans.

Miles is the only coach to beat Saban more than once, even twice.

McCarron will be gone, Fluker will be gone, Cody Mandell will be gone (I think, so they should be in better shape there), Yeldon and Drake will be there.

Amari Cooper will still be there.

I think one of those Koundaijou (sp?) brothers will be gone. I could be wrong but I think one is about done.

The main thing is who's under center for me. I don't even know who the 2nd string QB is. I know it's not that guy Philip Sims, he went to UVA.

And they come here next season. I'm not one of these "well I guess we'll never beat Alabama again as long as Saban's there" fans nor will I ever be.

Saban no likely the running QB.

I like our chances.

ETA: Not Fluker, I was referring to CJ Mosley.

Well, for some odd reason, we have a true freshman QB so.... growing pains on offense..AGAIN. Defense can only get better and finally, we get to play time at home.

I am seriously thinking if the mad scientist conditioning method works or not since we got blown up and shut out via the old method.

I agree with this part of your statement and it has nothing to do with Saban. Miles is and was always at his best when playing to win as opposed to playing not to lose. Especially in a season like next year with some youth in key positions. Bring back lesticles.

Sarah Jessica Parker gone. What happened? Greg McElroy gone. What happened? AJ McCarron gone. What's gonna happen? There will be no difference. The "Process" will just plug somebody else in there and continue on as before.

Until Miles shows everybody he's serious about challenging the Alabama A's by making two very badly needed coaching changes on his staff, (OL/DB) there's no reason to believe anything at all will change. That means #3 in the S.E.C. West for longer than most LSU fans are willing to accept.

The Cheerleaders can't pump their way out of this mess. Harsh reality sets in.

Does anyone remember the mad hatter nonsense he pulled in 2012 playing to win? We were as good as them and didn't need it and it cost is the game which we dominated.

Fake 40 yard FG- failed
50+ field goal w 1 min in half- gave them at TD
Onside kick- failed
Went for it on 4th and 1 inside the 30- failed
All this and they needed a last minute TD to beat us...

We play that game straight up we win, he coached like we had no chance, and it cost us

His mad hatter days ended after the 07 title game. He really seemed like he knew what he was doing on trick plays until then.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. It's not that Miles was once Chip Kelly and now Les Miles.

Just what the hell are you talking about? Are you implying that if he had coached better, we definitely would have won?

LSU lost that game on an ill-timed blitz against a perfectly-called screen.

What the hell I'm implying come-to-conquer is exactly what I said. He called trick plays in that game like we were Furman trying to beat lsu. 4 gambles and none of them payed off, we play them straight up we win similar to South Carolina game.

I'm not saying miles isn't a great coach. He recruited the players and had the gameplan on offense and defense to beat Alabama.. This game was just a negative outcome of trying to be the "mad hatter."

You realize that last Alabama drive they were down 3 right?
If we play this like a normal game and take the 1st half FG on 4th and 10 from the 25, then we can kick that FG after our drive deep into their territory at the end of the game instead of going for it on 4th and 1. That puts us up 9 correct? Not to mention if we kick that FG in that late drive anyway we know they have to score a TD and not risk that blitz to try and take them out of FG range. How about the onside kick fail when we had momentum that the fumble at the 5 saved us on?

It would be one thing if we were clearly outclassed and couldn't move the ball or stop them and needed magic to pull it off.. We were executing great though, offense and defense.

Bottom line we were the better team that night and trying to many tricks like we needed them to win cost us the game in my opinion

It's pretty simple. A lot of high risk "mad hatter" type plays all backfired that night. We should have beat them by 2 touchdowns and we lost because of all the mad hatter plays backfiring.
