Total cost for UT to acquire Saban

Assuming Texas has to offer ~9-10 million for Saban AND buy out Mack's contract (which is how much?), what is their total cost to acquire Nick Saban and is that total cost really going to happen?
My answer is no.
My answer is no.

Plus his billions his debt
Plus he'll get his own submarine
Plus they're gonna rename Austin Sabantopia
Plus they're gonna make him the first midget to walk on the moon

A drop in the bucket.

Supposedly 1-2m

Well if the reports are true, their boosters have paid off his debt in the range of 20m
If it simply comes down to dollars and they are willing to drop 10m right now, if he says no, whats another 2m? Make it 12... Hell, Texas football clears in the neighborhood of 75m annually (From what was discussed yesterday)

The money is not a problem
From Red McCombs' mouth
"I don't think there is any question about `getting him,'" McCombs said. "When Mack came there, budgets were an issue; they are not an issue now. Hell, all the money that's not at the Vatican is up at UT."

If you don't know who McCombs is he Co-Founder Clear Channel Communications, and owned several pro teams.

Mack's buyout is extremely low actually. I think Saban's $20 million in debt being paid off ( ) is the biggest cost for them.

Don't forget genro's consultation fees.

You will need to add in the upgrades in facilities that Saban will require, which with all that reported money, they haven't done in 50 years.

They will move mack into an office position...won't have to pay a full buyout...no need to pay the whole buyout when the coach "retires"

Think about what you just said.
Why on God's green earth would he just up and resign without Any compensation. Mack is getting paid any way this goes down. He will either 1) coach the texas longhorns next year (salary), 2) be fired (buyout) or 3) be reassigned (mack and the team work on some amount probably more than the buyout)

Real cost = Image they put like to put out.
Media, Twitter, Blogs, In-figting, Mack trying to hang on, Powers meeting, Alamo Bowl, etc.. etc... like High Definition TV showing a 58 year old pole dancer.
It ain't pretty.

I heard Mack's buyout is only 3 million. Texas has the money. That is not an issue.
