Song(s) that take you back..
Posted by SirRohantheDefender on 12/13/13 at 10:30 am00
What are some songs that whenever you hear it, it takes you directly to a movie/tv scene before anything else.
Just heard Sia - Breathe Me on the radio this morning, and it immediately took me back to the Six Feet Under finale. LINK
Almost right there...
Ooh La La does the same for Rushmore.. LINK
Others?

"Jaws" and "Star Wars" themes (or pretty much anything by John Williams for that matter) are obvious.
"Sister Christian" brings me back to "Boogie Nights".

Stuck in the Middle with you makes me think of Mark Madsen cutting off someone's ear.
Time is on my Side makes think of Fallen.
Tiny Dancer, obviously Almost Famous.

Relax - Body Double
Cavatina - The Deer Hunter
Grand Partita - Amadeus (rusty squeezebox speech)
Adagio for Strings - Platoon (Elias dying)
Thieving Magpie - gang fight in A Clockwork Orange
The strongest effect is the Grand Partita, but for the most part it's a pretty weak effect.
