That map only goes up to 2006. There were only 37 openings that year...which is down considerably from the previous years. I would be curious to see what the trend is like in recent years.

I almost started a thread about walmart earlier but didn't think it deserve it deserved it's own thread. Thanks for providing me a segue.

Why does Walmart not sell nike or other higher end shoes (products)? Is it Walmart not wanting to sell that or is it those brands not wanting to be associated with Walmart?
