This thread is funny. I don't know if Saban is gone or not. My hunch is no. But for Bama fans to act like the reason he has not signed a contract is because he's recruiting is just stupid. I'm a corporate lawyer. I've done big deals with people supplying signature pages via fax or PDF for around the world. you think he can't sign because he's recruiting in texas or Florida or Louisiana? Get real.

From everything I have heard, he hasnt signed it yet because he is proving a point to a particular member of the administration. Does that mean he is definitely going to sign it? Nope. Just means that the longer it takes to make his point, the more shite can be offered to him by potential suitors.

I'd be really happy if his point got made sooner than later.

Because Sexton is waiting on a Mack to be gone -to get an official offer from UT-so he can go back to UA and say "match it"?

Seems simple enough.

It appears CNS, like when at LSU and communicating through and answering to only Emmert, does much the same at Bama via Witt..a native Horn.

Witt is way too smart to risk this all coming back on him at Bama, unless he feels 100% convinced it's a done deal, and he will be riding that golden parachute with CNS to Austin, when the sequences fall into place?

No clue, but I will say that Saban is miffed with the way Bill Battle is handling things in the sports complex. He got used to the way Mal did things. Nick was Mal's greatest achievement and he protected it with his life every day. He was attentive. He was friendly. In all honesty, during Sabans time in Tuscaloosa with Mal they became VERY close friends. Mal knew what he had and he did whatever needed to keep him happy. Battle on the other hand had no connection to Nick and is a multi-million dollar CEO type business man. He is used to giving orders and them being carried out. End of story. He isnt used to having people "under" him that in reality, are actually OVER him. He hasnt been attentive. He hasnt been overly friendly, at least not to the extent of Mal. (not saying he isnt friendly, just saying they dont have the same relationship and Bill doesnt seem to be going out of his way to become close with Nick like Mal was), and from what I heard, the contract extension yall keep talking about was basically delivered to his office, dropped on his desk, and it was like "sign it".

And then Saban basically was like, hhmm, you know what? I have some recruiting to do, and just left it sitting there.

If we lose Saban, you can bet one thing. Bill Battle's head will roll and when it does, you will know why.

Read SL Tiger's CC posts, with an unbiased eye..they don't seem the stuff of creative fiction..

And a young gal that is a young wannabe starlet from Dallas, seems plausibly a girl from means, that may have a well-heeled family and uppercrust family friends..like say possibly a longtime former UT career administrator.

Call me gullible, naive, but like Chicken, I've heard via a wealthy current Texas player's father about the UT Booster infighting, Mack retired/canned and/or Saban/Texas whispers for two years now, and posted in the former threads about such here with Chicken and others..do a search.
