Could be interesting twist if the almighty ESPN is involved.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out ESPN was paying part of his new salary. Lots of money to be made if Tx starts winning.

Other than what they pay for the LHN, there will be no additional funds going to Texas from ESPN.

ESPN is partners with SEC network. Imagine they'd want him to stay at Bama

Saban at UT on the LHN would be ESPN's wet dream.

the sec sells itself. The LHN not so much. Espn would love to have Saban at UT.

The SEC and interest in the SEC will be prominent with or without Saban.

ESPN has a vested interest in the success of the Longhorn Network which is directly related to the success of Longhorn sports, football in particular. My take would be that LHN is a bit of a fledgling right now, Saban's arrival could make it a viable money maker for ESPN.

LHN a disaster so far. A great hire would reverse that and create some demand for LHN. Something it desperately needs. So far it is a joke among fans of other schools and a sore spot for Texass fans. They ain't happy about it at all.
