Yep. Costco chicken tortilla soup, grilled cheese and lots of cabernet.

Otis, hope all goes well tonight and wishing a lot of money for EJW and his legacy.

His good friends have done a helluva job putting the event together. I'm sure all will go well and most certainly serve a great cause.

I really wish they had been able to set up an internet or phone thing. I know for sure my Dad would get some of those trips.

Anywho, yall don't get in too much trouble now. Well, except for giving balls a kick in the balls for me.

We had lunch with Bro at a Chinese place. What they pass for 'hot' is not 'hot'. I think I'm becoming desensitized to pepper in my old age. My jalapenos this summer were totally worthless in producing burn.

Instead of winterizing I threw them all in the compost pile.

Wife got the Xmas gift frozen turkey from the hospital. I prepped it and brined it the same as the turkey I buy at market. But it wasn't so good.

So, I salvaged the good parts. Then threw the carcass in water with aromatics and I've got turkey/veg stock all up in the freezer for future dishes.

Reheated turkey and sausage gumbo, with long grain rice and French bread. No bell peppers, but plenty of celery.
