If Saban goes to Texas, winning the conference may get easier but the recruiting battles just got waaay harder. Buckle up and get ready.

I understand why a bunch of people think this way, but that is not how I see it.

UT recruits are headed there regardless of the coach for the most part. UT's recruiting classes have remained strong even though their on the field performance has faltered.

Add to that he is a job hopping m'fer and I can see where one more job change makes it easier not harder to recruit against him.

It'll take Saban 2-3 years to get into National Championship contention, we need to win the SEC during that time and probably a NC for recruiting, and with Saban gone that doesn't seem like a stretch by any measure

I disagree. One of the biggest sells of LSU and Bama is the fact that they are in the SEC. Last I checked Texas is not. It'll be tough, sure. But I'll take Saban at Texas over Saban at Bama any day.

Are you saying that if Saban goes to Texas that he might get a top rated safety out of Dutchtown, or a defensive end from U-High in Baton Rouge, or the top rated lineman in the country out of West Monroe, or a top rated safety from Neville?

Saban gets 25 recruits just like everyone else. Him moving to Texas is no different than him being at Alabama. If anything, it helps us in Georgia and Florida.

It would be the same thing he would come in here and get a few. More worrisome would be if Miles leaves for Texas and comes in and get his and Saban is still at Bamm.

I just think that he hurts us big time in Texas. Look at who we are pulling from there this year. It may not be so easy if things go as expected in Texas.

No it won't. This does not make any since. The net results will be about the same.

Couldn't disagree more.

Him leaving opens back up the I-10 corridor east once again. Mobile, Florida panhandle, etc.

Plenty good recruits to go around.
