You think Almost Dead would be big enough for the Saenger? I dunno.

I had the worst experience at that Fiya Fest than anyone.

The drink/food situation was pretty bad, but it was all free. They have a year under their belts now, so it can only get better.

I remember they had to keep going back to Nola Brewery down the street to keep getting more beer because they kept running out. By the end of the night, I had to drink Jack Daniels Honey since there were pretty much no other options. Small price to pay to see all that music, though, and I would definitely go again.

I must have been lucky, because I had no problems at all and the longest wait in line was probably 5 mins. I do remember having to drink the JD Honey but whatevs. I got nice and trashed, and still somehow hooked up with one of the hottest girls I ever have later that night

That is what I am thinking. I want to see Almost Dead, but I have a feeling there are going to be some real big names at the Saenger since it is the first year back.

nah it wasn't all free. I'm pretty sure I paid $160 (the wife too) for about 6 drinks and 2 huggers.

I wouldn't go back but yea it seems like experiences varied. It's a good cause but it sort of bothered me the dude never told anyone how much money went to the kids band.

Joe Russo's Dead deal in NYC recently sold out a 1800 seat theater which is why I was thinking the Saenger may be good but it's about 2700 seats, correct? Probably to big.

Has there been any rock shows in the Saenger yet? I hope the calendar is full for JF. That's one of my all time favorite venues to get weird in and thankfully it's back.

I'd love to see the Mule or Los Lobos rockin the place.

I've seen both multiple times.

You can't go wrong either way.

If it sold out at the cap, it wasnt by much. Tickets were still available at the door the day of the show. I almost went.

Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks announcing this is their last year with the Allman Brothers Band makes a Jazz Fest appearence much more likely.
