wife is turning 30 on the 20th, we have a group of maybe 10-15 (give or take) and would like to do dinner that night around 7 or so. I know they don't do reservations or call aheads, just seeing if I have any options other than getting there at 530, with half of the party, to try and be seated for 7.

many thanks if so!

I tried this last year and they don't do reservations. I even offered to prepay but they declined. We went early and waited and eventually got seated.

I would go somewhere else that would offer reservations.

Maybe they have small rooms for small groups.

Any particular reason why you want to go there rather than somewhere else which offers reservations?

They don't do reservations, mainly because they don't need to.

I really like LA Lagniappe - however, in this case, I'd highly recommend Roberto's River Road Restaurant.

I second this recommendation. They have done a little work on the place in the last few years and is quite good.

Roberto's has a nice old house out back they do parties in and it's really nice. I've used it twice now.

Is Brandon still there? If so call and ask for him. He may make it happen but don't frick it up and arrive late or pay with 7 credit cards.

Recently had a company function at Roberto's. They wanted a minimum party of 20 for the house behind the restaurant.

wife loves going there, we go every year, decided to invite friends this time.

I do love Roberto's, I may need to contact them and get some more information about this.
