Not as much excitment this year with a lot of the big names already signed. But should be interesting to see where Choo,Garza, etc end up and of course a potential Price trade.

This is where teams improve.

Astros out looking for another reliever (maybe 2) and have also mentioned potentially adding another position player (TCB mentioned a first baseman). Not sure how I feel about that, but In Luhnow I trust

I'll be interested to see if my Cards get antsy and deal Adams. I would assume they'd rather wait until things shake out through Spring Training.

Reds have made blockbuster trades the past two Decembers (Latos in 2011, and Choo in 2012).

Most expect them to make another one this year, too.

Agreed. I wish they would trade Chapman since they aren't moving him to the rotation.

Brett Gardner + prospects for Homer Bailey/Brandon Phillips

Gardner is a free agent after this season (as is Homer). The prospects would have to be pretty damn nice for that trade to happen.

I do expect the Reds to move Bailey in any blockbuster that happens though.

Why would the Reds move Bailey? He is going to go in raw on the NL next year. Him and Latos will be a filthy duo.

He's a free agent after this year, and talks to extend his contract have gone nowhere.

Why would the Reds do this? I get that Bailey may leave via free agency next year, but I don't think the Yankees have enough quality prospects to get this done.

Reds aren't going to pay Bailey
Reds need a lead off hitter/OBP
Yankees need a 2B
Reds are tired of Brandon Phillips

Yankees would probably offer Sanchez + Warren or Nuno in the package as well. Possibly others no clue as Reds traded for Choo last year knowing they couldn't resign him, the could resign Gardner, Yankees would pick up 100% of Phillips salary left which would also be attractive to the Reds

I like Sanchez, but the Reds really like Mesoraco and he was just given the keys when they traded Hanigan last week.

If Yankees got Bailey they would probably put Phekps in the deal as well....
So would be Gardner+Phelps+prospect for Bailey+Phillips and picking up his entire remaining salary

The yankees have nothing I would want for the Reds considering what we would have to give up.

If Homer was sent to the Yankee's he'd be shooting all kinds of shite in Central Park with his bow. He's not going play for those city boys.

The Reds need to quit being cheap and lock up Bailey. He's homegrown and was a first round pick. Why would you spend all the time and money developing a first round prospect hoping he turns into an ace, then he does, and you let him walk away in his prime? WTF?

Our owner sells produce for a living and the team is located in the rust belt. And Joey Votto.

If Homer continues his trend, he's gonna command a 9 figure salary.

He wants more than the team thinks he is worth, I think they will eventually work it out but if Reds do move him it wouldn't surprise me.

Yankees apparently in on Chris Sale as well and I think Yankees will make a big move now that the Padres have taken Headley off the block. Gardner or Ichiro gone
