Gordon, Rivers, and Evans were doing autographs at the Saints game last night. Unfortunately there weren't very many takers, but I did have the chance to tell Rivers he needs more minutes. They looked surprised anyone actually made a basketball comment, much less anyone evening noticing their presence.

What was his response? Did Gordon and Evans start laughing?

why didn't you ask Evans about his ankle?

did you ask what they thought about George Karl?

Was Pierre murdering small children?

you asked the least useful question of all

EG looked like a deer in headlights. Rivers just said thanks.

No Pierre, no corpses.

Yeah, it was sort of a "oh look" sort of moment. In hindsight I should have punched EG in the face, and talked to Evans about his ankle.

they were outside of the dome before the game, right by the Gleason statue.

they had a Pelican tent set up, and 0 fricks were given.

That's just sad. I hate to hear that. I mean, I know it was a big Saints game and all...but, come on!

That is so depressing...frick I wish they would have emailed or texted or something so I would have known. Or did they?

There's always people shooting hoops on the goal next to the tent before noon games.

And that's a terrible spot. Backside of the Dome has waaay less foot traffic.

yeah, that's why I said it was a "oh look" moment. My buddy saw the tent and I just walked right up and started talking to Rivers. I hate EG on the Pelicans, but he is still a legit NBA baller, and you would think people would want his autograph. I don't do the autograph thing, but you would think with 75k people, there would have been a line.

Friends and I walked up an hour or so before the game. The players were extremely unengaging and completely unwilling to even make eye contact much less be friendly. Looked like they hated being there. Maybe they'd been out there all day or something but I was really disappointed with their effort at even feigning interest in interaction.
