"It was a great measuring stick for who we are and where we have to go," Newton said. "The best thing about this is we have an opportunity to face this team again in two weeks. Those guys just were better than us today. Are they better than us? No."

Um, yes they are, loser.

After the beatdown they received last night, he should choose his words more wisely.

i mean, cmon, what do you expect him to say?

he said that we were better today.
if we lost a game i would want brees to say the same thing.

i might laugh if it was after the seattle game, but thats what i would want my QB saying

He could have stopped at "Those guys just were better than us today."

Would have been the more mature response.

Nothing wrong with his statements. They're still very much alive and in the hunt.

"It is a comfortable place for them. There are not (weather) elements. They've got the crowd behind them, which is a huge plus for them as well. They're on turf, not natural grass, which is a little different. It helps as fast as their speed and timing. The things that they do here they do very, very well. We will see how things go when they come to Carolina."

Look at all the butthurt flowing. Quick, someone tell Riverboat Ron it probably isn't going to matter if we win or lose there.

I want to sweep them. Scam is retarded.

Look at the difference between Cams post game comments last night and Drews postgame comments Monday night.

My wife was asking me why I was so fired up after everytime Scam got sacked. There are few players I hate more in the game that Cam Newton.

It's one of those things where no matter what he said y'all would criticize him. I see nothing wrong with what he said.

I just hope that we go to Carolina and put the same arse kicking we put on them last night. Simply to remind Cam who's the best in the NFC South

1) We gotta play 'em one day at a time.
2) I'm just happy to be here. Hope I can help the ballclub.
3) I just want to give it my best shot, and the good Lord willing, things will work out.

If Cam was being honest, he would have to admit that the biggest difference between the two teams last night was at the quarterback position.

When Drew, Tom Brady, Manning are on the sidelines they're looking at the shots or doing something

Cam just sits over there and sulks, or behaves like a kid if they're winning

After the first drive for the FG, Cam was shown briefly looking at a field shot, but it was being shown to him by a member of the coaching staff (and I suspect the guy was attempting to explain what it meant to Scam).

Of course not.

If Brees said it after Seattle, no one would have said anything.

Anyone who thinks Brees or the Saints don't think they're better than Seattle is kidding themselves.

Defensive lines vs Olines were a bigger difference.

I was glad to see he and Rivera talking a lil smack about when they play in Carolina.....gives us a lil black board material. Not that we need it, but still.
