I just bought the glacier glove aleutian hunters. They seem like they are going to work well. I am going to use them for the first time tomorrow, it should be down in the 20s so I'll get a good idea of how well they work.

I bought some neoprene ones with liners when I lived in SD. Kept my hands warm up there and made scooping decoys a lot more tolerable.

Downshift,
I also like that style of glove/mitten. In fact, I wore a pair this Saturday while deer hunting. To keep your fingers toasty warm, put a chemical toe warmer in the mitten part.

Anyone ever tried using surgical latex or nitril gloves under their regular gloves to keep waterproof?

some thin cotton gloves under your outer gloves help a lot.

a lot of people forget the basics when it comes to gloves.

your hands sweat and thats when they get cold. layering is important on hands as well as the rest of your body

Well it was down to 28 this morning, and the gloves are decently warm. They are definitely waterproof, so it was easy to pick up dekes and dead ducks with them. They are fitted enough to make it easy to shoot with them. Overall I am very happy with them after one use. Just gotta see how long they last. They are not the warmest, but to be waterproof, and able to have some dexterity I think they are great.

I did get a size bigger than I normally wear, so I might layer them witb some cheap jersey gloves.

Hey chadjones, have you tried those seal skinz gloves or just throwing out a suggestion? I was thinking about getting a pair and can't decide based on the online reviews.
