Why do some people not understand the golden rule of shite talking?

One of my best friends, a Raiders fan, is constantly talking crap about the Saints, how they can't win on the road, how they're overrated, etc.
You can't talk shite if your team is far worse. It's like even if you don't care much for BMWs, you aren't gonna roll up next to one in your Honda Civic and say "Dude your car sucks!"

Sure you can talk about how a team is overrated even if your team sucks. Just because my team sucks doesn't mean I can't see yours isn't good.

It's also funny because when he says something and I point out how the Raiders suck and the Saints would skullfrick them, he'll say something like "This isn't about the Raiders!"
