I recently got a Winchester sxp shotgun. I really didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but the price and feel felt fine in store, so I bought it. After hunting the first spilt with it, the stock seems a little short. Is there any way to adjust this? Would adding a butt pad work. I really like the gun outside of the fact that it really does not fit correctly...

Thanks

just put a recoil pad on it...that should lengthen it an inch or so, which is quite a bit...

This one is cheap and will let you try out different size pads to see if it helps with the fit.

Yep. Slip-on ones exist and work well.

Check out the Limb Saver recoil pads. They are quite thick and protect the shoulder very well.

Best money you'll ever spend on a duck gun or hard hitting rifle is a Limbsaver

AMEN!
TC 7 mag/50 cal, was jumping up pretty bad and the Limbsaver completely tamed it. Also, it's a fairly custom fit. Best $30 bucks I ever spent, when Encores first came out..

Or, you can just duct tape a car washin' sponge on the end of it fairly cheaply..
