Fatigue, we were there last year. Sugar Bowl wants Bama bad. Money talks.

Doesnt sugar get first pick since their auto qualifier (auburn) is going to the championship game?

Sugar has no say, Orange gets first pick.

wonder if the game will be a sellout.

not trolling.

this game has had unusual poor attendance the last few years save for the Bama-LSU rematch of course.

OU might be good for Saban since he can get a good feel for them in preparing for next year's Red River shootout.

Sugar Bowl will buy this pick under the table. Happens every year.

Wrong. Now that Auburn is going to the BCSNC, Sugar Bowl gets dibs on the SEC at-large team.

No, if a Bowl loses it's conference tie to the NC game, it gets to "protect" the second choice from that conference.

Sugar does have a say. Read the fricking by laws.

If a bowl loses a host team to the national championship, no teams from their conference can be taken without that bowl's consent.

It'd be like the 2003 Sugar Bowl all over again, but with Saban winning by more than 7.

There's 2 spots for OU, Oregon and Clemson.
Why do the other deserve it more?
One of those three will be left out and whatever team it is can't really bitch because a case can easily be made against each.

Orange gets first pick as their tie in is the #1 seed. They will take Clemson to give the ACC two teams (more money for conference). They're going to help out their tie in.

This is the reason why Sugar will take Oklahoma to play Bama. Bama is #2 choice as Auburn goes to Pasadena ranked 2nd. The Big 12 will be a future tie in for the Sugar after the national semifinal next season. The SEC will play the Big 12 every year in the Sugar Bowl starting in 2015 I think.
