I've only been to the crow fields. You take the ferry from Enterprise and make a right as soon as you cross the river. Drive down a couple miles and take a left. There is a sign...

Follow that road all the way back and it ends at a "launch" in the river. I quoted the word launch because you are going to need 4 wheel drive.

When the weather is right and it's holding water there are some birds there. Be prepared to get in your spot super early though...

Not worth the effort better of at Russell Sage. They just fixed the levee up there by the pump rd so they may have good water soon after this weather movse through. Boeuf on the river was good until LSM wrote article talkin about how good the woodie hunting is now to many people for the amount of holes. Greentree is a garhole to stay out of there. I hear that ouachita wma has good water on it to may want to give it a shot

bwaha and like that guy said as many as stars in the sky

Never hunted there, but there is a really good boat launch at the NW corner of intersection of Hiway 4 and Boeuf River. I would go north from there and hunt look for some sloughs or bayous coming from the north. If you go past Lafourche,be sure to hunt on the north bank, as the south bank is private. Good luck

FAT NECK

Shut the hell up about public land. Every time you mention the name of a WMA people are going to research it and possibly show up to the area while YOU continue to bitch about public lands being overcrowded. Take your shite back to Louisiana Sportsman forums

Haven't got enough water to do much timber hunting yet. The green tree has some but you need to know where to go and it has motor size restrictions. Duty ferry area has small trees and some good hunting if you can find a spot without any people. There are several breaks around boeuf that has some good hunting but are hard to get too.
