Is Mob City any good?

Got it on DVR and was thinking about watching it. Is it any good?

I like Jon Bernthal I just thought a good deal of his overacting as Shane came from struggling with the accent (its harder for Yanks than Brits to do a passable emotional southern accent) but it seems to be carried over despite him using something closer to his natural speaking voice.

I had it DVR'd and watched it last night. It was a little slow at times, but I like it. Not sure if you've ever seen Gangster Squad yet, but I laughed at the night and day difference between Mickey Cohen in that movie and the guy who plays him in Mob City. The twist at the end of episode 2 will keep me intrigued for definitely another week or two. I'm sure the action will pick up by mid-season. (Fingers crossed)

Great looking, very good acting, a little slow at times but good enough to keep me interested. Plus it's only 6 episodes so it should really start rolling next week.

I had high hopes for this show, until I realized Jon bernthal was cast. He's a terrible fricking actor and ruins pretty much every scene for me that he's in.

This show is a lot of style with little substance. The characters and plot are weak.

I watched it to get my post Boardwalk Empire gangster fix.. Needless to say it is nowhere near that level. But it was ok and there's not much else on this time of year.. I'll continue to watch.

What do you mean? I actually know Jeremy Luke a little. He hangs out at my usual bar. He's a good dude and loves to party. YouTube "Turbo and Joey" if you want to see some of his funnier homemade shorts.
