We really need to get a Higgins d-lineman or two in this class. We need to be able to rotate 8 men like we have in the past!!!

I'd really like to add someone to GWII, Deondre Clark, and Godchaux.

GMcDowell and Travonte Valentine seem like the next two most likely. Both possibilities but neither shoe ins

Theres also Malik McDowell, Solomon Thomas, Chad Thomas, Kentavious Street, Andrew Williams. All studs but all extreme long shots...but maybe we snag one

Bain, Herron and Gilmore will (should) be in the rotation next year.

You really think they will have progressed enough to compete with guys like QThomas and Lacouture?

I sure hope so, we really need that depth. Hopefully GWIII can come in and contribute as well

DT really scares me next year. Were going to need some guys to step up

Think we sign another OLineman?

Elijah Rodriguez?

We could use another, but with numbers so tight and I dont want to reach on a prospect at the expense of another stud at another position

Sometimes it takes linemen a bit longer to develop than players at other positions. I would not give up on Gilmore, Bain and Herron just yet.

I would be surprised if at least one of them does not emerge this spring as a contributor next fall.

But yes, the d-line needs to be addressed with one or two of the remaining spots left in this class.

Last year Gilmore, Bain, and Heron were all superstars who couldn't miss. Now, they're busts, but Clark, Godcheaux, and GWIII are automatic. I'll tell you what, none of the dline we sign this year are going to be contributors next year. Hopefully, some of Bain, Gilmore, and Heron will join LaCouture, QT and maybe AJ or Ego, and contribute in 2014 at DT. We're set at DE.

Being a self admitted star gazer I still trust the our staff more. But we haven't been great at identifying (or at least reeling in) top o line talent.

For every Collins can show you a Barksdale that was recruited for defense

Why are we so high on this kid. Not saying he doesn't deserve it. I just don't know much about him. Just curious why are we so attracted to him after looking at his offer list?

Yeah, you're right. It's always the shiny new recruits that get the most hype. Since we haven't seen much of our guys we nabbed last, people forget about them.

While yes, we do need to pick up more linemen for depth, we need to be patient with the guys we have. I wouldn't count on freshmen coming in and starting over the guys that have already been in the system a year. There's something to be said for training and hitting at the college level, even if they haven't gotten many live game snaps.

29 tackles. 2 sacks. Those are the season totals for #1 super duper, can't miss defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche. Maybe it's not that easy for a true freshman to step in and play DLine in the SEC. Just saying.

Bust???? What because they didn't make all SEC as a freshman? How in the hell do you declare those guys as bust it?

what true frosh dlinemen have we had at LSU shine? They need to build strength and work on technique to go against massive o linemen in the sec.

but i wouldnt mind if we got street and valentine to go along with willis, godcheaux and clark. would be a solid haul on the dline, plus add to the haul we got last year and we are going to be fine.
