How long has it been closed for? Also, are there any other locations that have closed? Makes you wonder if the Central and Baton Rouge locations are doing well.

I live in Central, and the one out here always looks dead.

Wow. Yeah, the few times I'm out on highland and pass by the BR location it looks dead too. Maybe they draw a better lunch crowd?

If they do, I can't imagine it's enough to be profitable.

Driving past it in Hammond I literally never once saw a car in the parking lot

Surprised it lasted as long as it did

Johnny's Pizza is the best.

Better than Uncle Hairmongers by 7 inches.

Thought it would do well there. Hammond has SLU there with a large student population.

They should have stayed in north Louisiana.

Customer service and overall quality of pizza was piss poor in Baton Rouge. Ate their twice both horrible experiences. Never again.

I imagine the same type of experience in Hammond & Central.

With that being said, Johnny's when done right is as good as it gets.

So they care more about the quality of pizza in Ruston, Monroe and Shreveport?

me and some Shreveport buddies made a Saturday out of going to Johnny's in Covington then to Old Rail. I thought the Johnny's (we had the buffet) in Covington was actually a pretty decent representation of what I grew up loving in Shreveport. not on par with the Preston location or the south Shreveport Youree Dr. one .. but still damn tasty.

the place was pretty packed too, fwiw.

you pay $7 and they continually make pizzas fresh and put them out. rarely does a fresh pizza stay out there longer than 15 minutes. get to try more pizzas/toppings that way.

I shy away from the pasta, dessert and salad parts of the buffet.

they also use less cheese, less toppings, and less sauce and ALL the pizzas…it's horrible.
